The big "5-0" and a giveaway!!!

I have some exciting news :) We have hit 50 followers on my little blog! I should start by apologizing for way slacking on posts lately and not having much fun stuff. I promise, I am working on that ;) In fact, I have a little DIY project in the works right now that will hopefully become a tutorial (although I may have to let my hubby write it since he is the one doing all the work, ha!)

My little man big two-year-old found some stickers the other day and kept himself busy for quite some time...it was adorable :)

Wonderful Weekend

This weekend my parents came down from Indiana for a special visit to celebrate with Hayden at his birthday party!  It was a short visit, but a good one :) 

Saturday was Hayden's big party and he had a blast!  One of my best friends (who also happens to be a great photographer) took pictures for me.  I must admit that it felt soooo good to not have my face behind my camera the entire time.  As you know, I love taking photos and it is a passion of mine but at events like this, I would rather be present than worrying about capturing every moment with my camera.  It was so wonderful to not have that to worry about!  Candace posted a sneak peak on her blog, you can check it out HERE.  I am still in shock that I didn't take one photo at his party, I didn't even bring my camera!!!  Oh, it was wonderful :)  Thank you, Candace!

Hayden received some trains from his sweet little friends and he is loving them!  He played with them all night before finally going to bed at 11 pm!  And today he played trains with Grandpa this morning...

(My house was pretty much a disaster after we brought everything in from the party...so much for avoiding that by having the party somewhere else!  haha!)

Soon it was time to say goodbye...

What a great weekend.  I'm so glad that my little man had a wonderful party and a great visit with his grandparents.  He is one blessed little two year old!

I Heart Faces~Motherhood

In honor of Mother's Day, this week's challenge on I Heart Faces is "Motherhood."  I captured this image at a session a couple of days ago and it very much speaks "motherhood" to me.  This mommy doting on her newborn baby boy with her daughter snuggled up next to her just makes me smile.

My Baby...

...is not really a 'baby' anymore.  It's officially his birthday since it's after midnight, but technically he won't be two until 9:54 pm ;)

I keep saying it only because it's so true...these two years have just flown by!  They have been two of the best years of my life.  I feel so blessed yet undeserving that God chose me to be Hayden's mommy.  What a precious gift and I am thankful every day for the joy that motherhood has brought me. 

So, I have my little man all to myself on his special day till daddy gets off work.  I am going to try my best to make it a wonderful, happy day for him (rain or shine!)  Can't wait to celebrate with him and all his little friends at his party next week! :) 
Thank you Lord for two years with my beautiful, precious, happy, smart and oh-so-sweet baby boy!
