I Heart Faces~Favorite Face of May

For this people's choice challenge on I Heart Faces, it was no question which image I wanted to use!  This is definitely my favorite of May, possibly the whole year!  This was taken a few weeks ago when my parents were here for my son's second birthday party.  This is Hayden getting love from Grandpa just before they left for home.

Pickin' Berries

On Sunday, we took Hayden to a local fruit and berry patch to pick his very own strawberries.  He absolutely loves strawberries (awberries, as he calls them!)  It was so sunny and bright, I snapped several pictures even though I couldn't really see my screen to check out what I was getting, ha!

 It brought so much joy to my heart watching him sqeal with delight and find berries to pick. 

He had such a great time picking and stuffing them into his mouth.  After he shoved the first one (green top and all) into his mouth faster than I could blink, I showed him how to pick the "green stuff" off the top and he did it on his own for the remainder of the picking ;) 

It was such a hot day, but it didn't take away from the fun we had together. 

Jeff picked most of the berries we took home since Hayden was eating all the ones he picked and I was keeping an eye on him (and eating my fair share of berries myself!)  We ended up taking about 4 or 5lbs home.  I made a couple pies with them since they were pretty ripe and I knew that they would not keep long even in the fridge.  I have a feeling we will be making lots of trips to the berry patch this year! 

I can't wait for the blackberries to come in, Hayden loves those too!

Cowboy Boots and Underwear

I got Hayden these Toy Story cowboy boots to play in and he loves them.  He puts them on (sometimes the wrong feet...) and stomps around the house in them.  Today he was supposed to be napping in his room and he came out wearing his boots, stomping all down the hall to my room.  What a little nut :)
Anyway, eariler today I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics of him in his boots & undies.  I just love this little man!

hmmmm, looking at these, I think I forgot to edit a couple of these pics before uploading them to photobucket.  Oh well ;)

Photo Trade

A couple weeks ago, one of my besties and I did a little photo trade.  Candace is a pro who needed some updated headshots for her website and I wanted a few of myself for the blog, so we got out one evening for a little photo shoot!  It was a blast and we joked talked about making a weekly thing to get out and take pictures as a nice break from being at home with the kiddos all week!  Anyway, we made our way out to a skate park for something different and snapped away!  The skaters were giving us odd looks, but we didn't care ;)  Here are some images from that shoot

Like my awesome new logo??? I should mention that Candace is also a talented graphic designer and she was SO sweet to make this for me!  It was inspired by my camera strap cover (that I am giving away HERE, contest ends tonight at midnight!)  I have such awesome friends.  Here is her website if you are interested in her services or know someone who is!

The big "5-0" and a giveaway!!!

I have some exciting news :) We have hit 50 followers on my little blog! I should start by apologizing for way slacking on posts lately and not having much fun stuff. I promise, I am working on that ;) In fact, I have a little DIY project in the works right now that will hopefully become a tutorial (although I may have to let my hubby write it since he is the one doing all the work, ha!)
